Details of the construction of a new branch of the Turkmenistan-China gas pipeline have become known

Tajikistan will issue a quota for attracting foreign labor for the construction of the Turkmenistan—China gas pipeline, Line D for 2023. 2719 specialists will be able to take part in the work on the territory of the republic.
Information about this became known after the signing of the relevant decree by President Emomali Rahmon, Asia Plus reports.
It is noteworthy that most of this number is accounted for by specialists from China. 70% of the construction staff will be engaged in technical work, 30% — administrative. The quota is set within the framework of the agreement between Beijing and Dushanbe.
Tajikistan has already created all the necessary infrastructure for the implementation of the project, including 42 tunnels with a total length of more than 60 km. The project itself will allow Tajikistan to attract more than $3 billion of Chinese investments.
The new gas pipeline is designed to supply 30 billion cubic meters of Turkmen gas per year to the southern and central part of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of China. The length of the gas pipeline will be about 1 thousand km. It will pass through the territory of Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan.
