The Airbus A330-200P2F cargo aircraft has replenished the air fleet of Turkmenistan Airlines. On Thursday, April 27, the new airliner landed the International Airport of the Turkmen capital. This is the second of two modern airbuses of this modification, which arrived in Ashgabat under a contract signed between the Türkmenhowaýollary agency (Turkmenistan Airlines) and the French company Airbus S.A.S. The air carrier received its first aircraft in mid-March this year.
Airliners of this model are equipped with Rolls-Royce Trent 700 engines. Their flight range is more than 13 thousand kilometers, and they can take up to 60 tons of cargo on board, while the cost of delivery is significantly reduced. In navigation equipment and electronic "stuffing" of aircraft, the manufacturer used the most advanced developments.
The flight and engineering staff of the Turkmen aviators who will serve the Airbus A330-200P2F aircraft have been retrained in Singapore and France.
The Turkmen airline became the first in Central Asia, in the hangars of which aircraft of the European manufacturer Airbus A330-200P2F received a "registration". Previously, Turkmenistan mainly purchased cargo planes from the American company Boeing.
