Diplomatic schools of Turkmenistan and Japan discussed the launch of an expert exchange program

Noting the need to strengthen bilateral academic cooperation and scientific ties between Turkmenistan and Japan, the heads of diplomatic schools stressed the need for regular meetings between specialists of the two countries, conducting online trainings in the field of science and education.

Turkmenistan's Ambassador to Japan Atageldy Bayramov was also present at the meeting.

Founded in 1959, the Japanese Institute of International Relations is the leading analytical center of the Land of the Rising Sun and ranks 1st in the rating of the leading analytical centers in Asia. The Institute regularly organizes forums, symposiums and international conferences, initiates research projects on foreign policy, security and globalization.

During the visit to Japan, the Rector of the IIR MFA of Turkmenistan also met with Hirosawa Masayuki, Head of the Department of Central, East Asia and the Caucasus of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), and Daisuke Ueda, Head of the Department of Humanitarian Development and Higher Education, Head of Work with higher educational institutions of this agency.

After discussing the prospects for further expansion of ties in the field of higher education, the parties considered the issues of JICA's assistance in equipping the IIR MFA of Turkmenistan and the creation of an innovation cluster with the participation of the Japanese side.
