The rector of the Turkmen university spoke about the research for the production of hydrogen

The Center for Hydrogen Energy of the International University of Oil and Gas named after Yagshigeldy Kakayev has started research to produce hydrogen from water by electrolysis. Such hydrogen is burned in the same way as conventional fuel, and the calorific value corresponds to pure hydrogen.
The rector of the university Bayrammyrat Atamanov told about these successes of Turkmen specialists at the International Forum on Attracting Foreign Investment in the Energy Sector of Turkmenistan, which is being held in Dubai.
The Rector said that at the moment it is planned to create a modern high-tech laboratory at the Center for the production of hydrogen from natural gas by the method of methane conversion.
The head of the oil and gas university also added that negotiations are currently underway with the Center for Earth Science and Engineering of Imperial College London to establish international cooperation in the field of hydrogen energy.
The University carries out purposeful work on the graduation of the best specialists for the fuel and energy sector of Turkmenistan. To improve this activity, work is underway to introduce the subject "Physico-chemical fundamentals of hydrogen energy" into the educational process.
