Turkmen health workers study the features of increasing confidence in vaccination at a WHO seminar

The Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan, together with the WHO Country Office, held a seminar for health workers on increasing public confidence in vaccination against COVID-19. The representatives of the UN Children's Fund and the European Union in Turkmenistan also co-organized the event within the framework of the European Immunization Week.
The participants discussed the effectiveness of vaccines against COVID-19, progress in the coverage of vaccination against COVID-19 in the world and regions. They also learned about the role of health professionals in building confidence in vaccination against COVID-19.
Trust in vaccines is vital and critically dependent on the ability of government institutions to communicate the benefits of vaccination, as well as to deliver vaccines safely and efficiently. Successful vaccination campaigns also require Governments to establish partnerships and support public organizations to conduct broad and well-managed interaction with the population.
