Turkmenistan to build two new gas processing complexes for the production of chemical products

The Scientific Research Institute of Natural Gas of Turkmenistan is working on the creation of at least two gas processing plants for the production of polymer and multifunctional chemical products in the eastern and western regions of the country.
This was stated by the director of the Natural Gas Research Institute of the state concern "Turkmengaz" Bayrammurad Pirniyazov during the International Forum on Attracting Investments in the Oil and Gas Sector of Turkmenistan in Dubai.
In his report on the environmental aspects of scientific research, the head of the Institute stated that in Turkmenistan, work in the field of gas processing is carried out in two main directions, the first of which provides for the creation of the necessary infrastructure with the use of high-tech solutions.
The second direction concerns the diversification of production, namely, increasing the range and volume of production of hydrogen, methanol, ammonia, carbamide, dimethyl ether, synthetic gasoline and synthetic diesel fuel.
At the moment, several similar enterprises are already operating in Turkmenistan. It is also noteworthy that the creation of production facilities is envisaged in two promising areas from the point of view of raw materials reserves in the Lebap and Balkan regions.
