Turkmenistan's role in global energy security will grow – UAE State Minister

The current uncertainty in the energy market, as well as the accelerating energy transition, further emphasize the crucial role of Turkmenistan in maintaining global energy security as a stable and reliable supplier of hydrocarbon resources and as a country supporting the development of renewable and sustainable energy sources. This was stated by the UAE Minister of State, member of the Board of Directors of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), Abu Dhabi Development Fund Ahmed Ali Al Sayed. In his opinion, such importance of Turkmenistan will only continue to grow.
Speaking at the plenary session of the Oil and Gas Investment Forum of Turkmenistan in Dubai, he noted that the UAE, which has been involved in the energy sector of Turkmenistan for more than two decades, is expanding the presence of its companies in the Turkmen economy through investments.
Ahmed Ali Al Sayed expressed confidence that the dynamic bilateral partnership will only strengthen Turkmenistan's position as the most important global energy supplier.

Outside of the energy sector, the UAE is also ready to cooperate closely with Turkmenistan in other strategic areas, such as the development of ports, transport and logistics, as well as in solving problems related to climate change.
The UAE State Minister stressed that the visits to the UAE of the head of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov in February 2023 and November 2022 respectively served to further expand constructive and friendly relations.
