The flight between Urumqi and Ashgabat, which was carried out on the evening of April 25, marked the full resumption of air traffic between China and all Central Asian countries, the Global Times reports.
At the moment, the Chinese air carrier China Southern Airlines, which covers the entire region, has resumed 9 international routes to Central Asian countries. In 2019, the number of flights was reduced by almost half — to 50% of the capacity.
Air China, another Chinese airline, resumed flights to Kazakhstan last week.
