Young SDG ambassadors celebrated the International Earth Day in Ashgabat with symbolic planting of trees
The environmental action on the eve of the International Earth Day, which is celebrated annually on April 22, was held on Thursday in Ashgabat by young SDG ambassadors, as well as representatives of UNICEF and the French company Bouygues Turkmen. They planted 17 trees on the territory of the Carbon Co-Working Training Center as a symbol of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
The International Earth Day is celebrated all over the world and is considered the most useful and humane holiday, which is dedicated to protecting the environment, greening the planet and promoting careful treatment of nature.
"We believe that environmental protection is our shared responsibility, and we strive to contribute to ensuring the sustainable future of our planet," said Novruz Nurberdiyev, a young SDG ambassador, speaking at the event.
The organizers of the action also summed up the results of the children's creative competition for the best environmental project, which was announced a little earlier. The winners were presented with memorable gifts.
