The trade potential between the countries of the Central Asian region and South Asia is used only by 33%, untapped opportunities account for 67%.

This was stated by the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Pakistan Iftikhar Ali Malik in an interview with the trade circles, the Daily Times reports.

He also added that the disclosure of this potential is necessary for the mutual economic integration of the region and overcoming the problems associated with the Afghan crisis.

As the head of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Pakistan, he recommended that official Kabul reconsider plans to promote trade and investment, taking into account the fact that Afghanistan itself can become a link between the regions.
