Xi'an plans to launch air transportation to Ashgabat

Xi'an, a large city in the central part of China and the capital of Shaanxi Province, plans to launch air transportation to Ashgabat and Dushanbe in the near future. On April 21, the first Air China flight to Astana, Kazakhstan, with 63 passengers on board, took off from Xi'an - Xianyang International Airport. Passenger routes from Xi'an to Almaty, Tashkent and Bishkek have been opened since the beginning of this year. In addition, there are cargo routes from Xi'an to Almaty and Tashkent.

Ye Niuping, deputy governor of Shaanxi Provincial Government and acting mayor of Xi'an City, said that Xi'an, as a national central city and an important gateway, strives to build an international aviation hub and cargo hub of China-Europe Express Changan, and make every effort to create an international trade channel with high efficiency, low cost and excellent service.

Xi'an Airport ranks first among Chinese airports in terms of cargo turnover growth rates.
