The term "pioneer" at the suggestion of Putin may become the name of the youth movement in Russia
Considering the use of the term "pioneers" in relation to the youth movement "Movement of the First" was suggested by Russian President Vladimir Putin during a conversation with Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova. She promised to discuss this proposal with the guys, reports TASS.
Making a report to the President on preparations for the children's summer vacation, Golikova mentioned the youth movement "Movement of the First". Putin responded: “The first - what is it? They are pioneers, right? This term, in contrast to the Komsomol - the communist youth union - is devoid of any ideological connotation. Think about it, please,” the Russian president said.
Recall that the Russian movement of children and youth "Movement of the First" was created in 2022. This is a modern analogue of the Soviet pioneer organization. When choosing a name, they considered the options “New Generation”, “Gagarin Movement”, “Youth”, “Patriots”, “Big Change”, and also “Pioneers”.
