The Turkmen boxer won the Spartakiad in Kazan


An athlete from Turkmenistan, a 4th-year student of Kazan (Volga Region) Federal University, Reshit Ovezov, became the winner of boxing competitions in the framework of the Spartakiad among universities of Tatarstan. This is stated in the press release of the Consulate General of Turkmenistan in Kazan.
During the competition, the boxer, who competed in the 80 kg weight category, had three victorious fights and was awarded the highest standard award. He finished two fights ahead of schedule.
This is not the first victory of a Turkmen in Tatarstan. Previously, he was more than once among the best at the KAZAN-OPEN-CUP-2 Open City Tournament, the Tatfight tournament, the Dimitrovgrad Mixed martial arts (MMA) championship, etc.
He is a candidate for the Master of sports in kickboxing. He started playing sports while still a schoolboy and when he came to study in Russia, he did not leave his favorite hobby.
