D.Azadi Institute organized the Olympiad for one and a half thousand students from 35 countries


The Turkmen National Institute of World Languages named after D. Azadi became the venue for the II International Student Olympiad in English, which was held in an online format with the participation of about one and a half thousand students from 35 countries.
In total, 181 universities from Russia, USA, China, Japan, Great Britain, France, Germany, Austria, South Korea, Kazakhstan and other countries joined the Olympiad. The honor of Turkmenistan was defended by 520 students from all 25 universities of the country.
The student had to complete 10 tasks in 90 minutes. So, the university system tested their reading, grammar, and other language skills. The results were calculated offline in the same way as the results of the entire Olympiad. Based on the rating, the winners of the competition were revealed.
The results of the Internet testing showed a high level of training of Turkmen students: 227 medals of various denominations were won, including 31 gold medals, 52 silver and 71 bronze.
In total, foreign participants won 87 medals, 11 of which were of the highest dignity.
At the end of the Olympiad, in the assembly hall of the D. Azadi TNIWL, the winning students heard the words of congratulations from the teachers from the above-mentioned states, who thanked the organizers and noted the high level of training, as well as readiness for further cooperation.
The winners were awarded diplomas.
The Olympiad, which was characterized by a wide geographical coverage (almost all parts of the world were represented), was able to identify 314 of the best experts in one of the most widely spoken languages of the world. She was able to identify the strengths of the foreign language teaching system in Turkmenistan and showed that English language teaching in the country has already reached a qualitative stage of its development.
