Plans of joint actions of Turkmenistan and the UN in the field of sustainable development were discussed


The Government of Turkmenistan and the UN held a meeting of Joint Groups on the results within the framework of the Framework Program of Cooperation in the Field of Sustainable Development for 2021-2025. This is reported on the website of the UN Permanent Mission in Turkmenistan.
The participants reviewed the progress made in the implementation of the program, and also discussed plans for joint actions in 2023.
Thus, the progress in achieving the five outcomes of the Framework Program was reviewed:
People-centered governance and the rule of law;
Sustainable economic diversification, competitive private and financial sector, expanded trade and its promotion;
Disaster risk reduction, climate change adaptation and increased resilience;
High-quality and affordable health and social protection services;
High-quality, inclusive and affordable education and systems for professional development.
The Co-Chairs of the groups presented working plans for the implementation of the program and supported the need for its mid-term review.
The Framework program of cooperation between the Government of Turkmenistan and the United Nations in the field of sustainable development for 2021-2025 is closely linked to the country's national programs for socio-economic development. It reflects the country's commitment to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and international commitments.
