COMSATS University of Pakistan is interested in attracting more students from Turkmenistan


Turkmenistan's Ambassador to Pakistan Atajan Movlamov discussed cooperation in the field of education with the Rector of the Pakistan University of Technology (COMSATS), Professor Muhammad Afzalu, the Daily Times reports.
During the talks, which were also attended by the Third Secretary of the Turkmen diplomatic mission, Hemra Annamuhammedov, representatives of the Pakistani university noted the wide opportunities for attracting students from Turkmenistan to educational programs.
Professor Afzal stressed that at the moment more than 33,100 students from Pakistan and more than 360 students from 23 countries of the world are studying at the university in more than 100 bachelor's, master's and doctoral programs.
Turkmen diplomats expressed interest in establishing bilateral cooperation in the field of science and education and called for the organization of student exchanges and joint conferences.
Ambassador Movlavmov added that Turkmenistan will soon host the 2nd meeting of the Joint Turkmen-Pakistani Working Group on Science and Education, in which this university from Islamabad is also involved.
