A fruit alley was planted in Tashkent in honor of the heroes of the Great Patriotic War


The memorial alley was planted on the territory of one of the schools in Tashkent, thereby honoring the memory of fellow countrymen who fought against the Nazis during the Great Patriotic War. The patriotic action "Garden of Memory" is being held in Uzbekistan for the second time - schoolchildren, volunteers and social activists planted 70 fruit trees in the city, MIR 24 reports.
During the Great Patriotic War, almost half of the able-bodied population of Uzbekistan fought against the Nazis. Hundreds of thousands of warriors never returned home, young people at the event were told.
The action "Garden of Memory" is a large-scale project in which more than 5 million people from more than 50 countries of the world have already taken part. Memorial boulevards and gardens appeared in every region of Russia, as well as in India, Armenia, Israel, and Kyrgyzstan. In the near future, such alleys will appear in Tajikistan, Brazil and Serbia.
