Turkmenistan hosts competitions for the President’s Hockey Cup of Turkmenistan.
The championship is attended by 9 teams representing various ministries and departments, as well as higher educational institutions of the country. Among them - “Galkan”, which is the current owner of the Cup, “Shir”, “Watanchi”, “Nesil”, “Oguzkhan”, “Burgut”, “Merdana”, “Alp Arslan”, as well as a newcomer to the competition, the team of the Turkmen State Institute of physical education and sports "Talyp sport".
On December 2, a game between the teams of Group A, Talyp Sport and Watanchi, was held, in which representatives of the Institute of the Ministry of Defense of Turkmenistan won by a score of 11:3. Trainees of Serdar Bayramsahedov fought to the last, trying not to miss every opportunity to throw the puck into the opponent’s goal. Last year, Watanchi hockey players remained one step away from the Cup, losing in the final to the Galkan team of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The players themselves assure that this time they will give all the best to get the coveted trophy. A team that has been preparing for the tournament for a long time is simply obligated to do so.
One of the productive players of the match was the captain of "Watanchi" Alirakhman Kerimov.
In group “B” they played “Oguzkhan” and “Burgut”.
The President’s Hockey Cup of Turkmenistan will last until December 10. In the finals, the team that won first place in Group A will meet with the winner of Group B.
According to representatives of the federation, one of the main contenders are also Galkan hockey players.
