Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov discussed with Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States Kubanychbek Omuraliev issues of deepening cooperation in various fields.

The meeting was held via video link on Monday. It was noted that Turkmenistan is interested in considering its partnership with a number of international structures affiliated with this OTG, including the Council of Elders of the Organization, TURKPA, the Turkic Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Foundation of Turkic Culture and Heritage, according to the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The sides noted the importance of the OTG summit held in November 2022 in Samarkand and the summit held in March this year in Ankara with the participation of Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

Turkmenistan has observer status in the OTG, whose members are Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey and Uzbekistan.
