The Eurasian Economic Youth Forum will be held simultaneously in seven CIS countries
The XIII Eurasian Economic Youth Forum (EEFM) will be held on April 24-28 simultaneously in seven CIS countries. Applications have already been submitted by 11,700 contestants, guests and experts from 96 countries and more than 79 regions of Russia. These are students, schoolchildren and young scientists and researchers, the TASS report says.
The theme of the congress is "A multipolar world in the focus of a new reality" and the participants will offer their options for the development of cities and countries in the modern economic and geopolitical environment. The authors of interesting projects will receive cash prizes and additional 5 points to the results of the Unified State Exam for admission to the bachelor's degree and 2 points for the master's degree of the Ural State University of Economics.
The program will also include 45 contests on a wide variety of topics - from inclusive finance to the ecology of enterprises and municipal management.
The youth forum also has its own traditions – the Ural Queen rapid chess tournament named after Grandmaster Anatoly Karpov will be held within the framework of the EEFM. Nevertheless, the innovations that were included in the 2023 program for the first time will be sambo competitions, as well as a creative competition for young artists who will be able to present their works in front of a team of UN agencies in Russia. The best works will be exhibited at the Festival of Cultures in Yekaterinburg-EXPO.
In addition, for the first time in the history of the EEFM, a media forum "Media work in a new political, economic and international reality" will be held, which will be attended by the heads of more than 40 media outlets of the CIS countries.
The annual Council of Rectors will also be held in the margins of the forum, which will bring together the heads of 60 Russian and foreign universities. New cooperation agreements are planned to be signed between the universities and joint projects in the field of education will be considered.
The forum is organized by the Ural State University of Economics (Yekaterinburg), as well as leading universities of St. Petersburg, Vladivostok, Kaliningrad, Astana, Baku, Minsk, Almaty, Osh, Tashkent, Bishkek and Dushanbe.
