Serdar Berdimuhamedov led a bike ride in honor of World Health Day in Ashgabat
A mass bike ride dedicated to the World Health Day was held in Ashgabat on April 7 with the participation of President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the country's leadership corps.
The bike ride started in the south of the capital at the monument erected in honor of the World Bicycle Day proclaimed by the UN on the initiative of Turkmenistan.
From here, the route ran along Chandybil and Bitarap Turkmenistan Avenues to the city center. Along the route of the participants of the action, amateur groups supported their creativity.
By tradition, representatives of various industries, students, athletes and pupils of the Orphan Children's Palace - about one and a half thousand people joined the action. Together they covered a distance of 11,200 meters, finishing near the Rukhyet Palace.
Similar sports events are held on April 7 in all regions of Turkmenistan.
