Uzbek citizens will be rewarded for information about expired goods

In Uzbekistan, awards will be given to consumers who will report products with expired shelf life and unusable. This is stated in the presidential decree of April 4 "On additional measures aimed at providing the population with high-quality consumer goods," Sputnik Uzbekistan reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic.
According to the document, the country will strengthen public control over the protection of consumer rights, responsibility for the illegal turnover of goods, take control of the production and sale of non-certified, expired, counterfeit and unusable goods.
Buyers will be able to file complaints through a single information system. The competent authorities will consider the appeals in a short time. How citizens will be encouraged for vigilance is not specified.
This is not the first practice when the state rewards for reporting a violation. In May last year, payments to individuals for notifications of tax offenses were approved.
