The composition of the Turkmenistan national wrestling team for the Asian Championship in Astana has become known
The national team of Turkmenistan in freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling will take part in the Asian Championship-2023, which will be held from April 7 to 14 in Astana (Kazakhstan).
The composition of the Turkmen national team for the upcoming continental tournament was formed by 15 wrestlers.
Representatives of freestyle became: Murad Hojanepesov (up to 61 kg), Gurbanmuhammed Charyyev (up to 65 kg), Perman Hommadov (up to 70 kg), Jumadurdy Mamishov (up to 74 kg), Vepa Hemenekov (up to 79 kg), Dovletmurad Orazgylychev (up to 86 kg), Ziyamuhammet Saparov (up to 125 kg).
Six athletes will represent Turkmenistan in Greco-Roman wrestling matches: Begmyrat Nobatov (up to 67 kg), Toyly Orazov (up to 72 kg), Jeyhun Ovezdurdyyev (up to 77 kg), Shihberdy Ovelekov (up to 87 kg), Amanberdy Agamammedov (up to 97 kg), Aybegshazada Kurrayev (up to 130 kg).
Lachyn Annamuradova (up to 50 kg) and Ogulnar Egemberdyyeva (up to 68 kg) will contest awards in women's wrestling.
Athletes will compete for medals in 10 weight categories. Representatives of Greco-Roman, freestyle and women's wrestling from more than 20 countries will perform at the tournament.
