The first meeting of the Union of Writers of the Turkic World was held in Uzbekistan


The first meeting of the Union of Writers of the Turkic World was held in the city of Navoi in Uzbekistan, the UZ news agency reports.
"With the creation of the Union of Writers of TURKSOY, the literature of the Turkic world will go further. We will have more events, we will get to know each other better," TURKSOY Secretary General Sultan Raev said in his speech, noting the possibility of achieving unity and solidarity of the Turkic world through language and literature.
"Our unity is our strength. Every idea, every step is important for the Turkic world," Raev stressed.
The participants of the meeting discussed the events that the Union of Writers of the Turkic World will hold in 2023-2024, elected the board of the association, and also determined the place and date of the next meeting.
"The first forum of the Union of Writers of the Turkic World was held at the highest level," said the honorary president of the Union, the famous Azerbaijani writer Anar Rzayev, who was awarded the "Order of Honor of TURKSOY" for his contribution to the literature of the Turkic world.
It should be noted that the meeting was held within the framework of the International Poetry Festival "Mumtoz she'riyat" ("Classical Poetry").
