The Consulate General of Turkmenistan in Kazan has launched a column about the Turkmen language in the social network

The Consulate General of Turkmenistan in Kazan has launched a new section Ene dilim on its Instagram account, in which it plans to analyze various words of the Turkmen language. A separate emphasis in the section will be placed on the study of grammar and the eradication of parasite words from everyday speech.
"One of the main features of the state is its language. After all, it is with him that the culture and history of any nation are connected. Our ancestors passed on our native language through the centuries, and our task is to pass it on to the next generations in its pure form. However, today's globalization and the active introduction of technology into our lives require more careful attention to the development of language. This topic is especially relevant among citizens living outside the "habitat" of the Turkmen language – abroad," the consulate said in a statement.
The first word to parse in the category was "salawmaleýkim". As the Turkmen folk wisdom says: "Edebiň başy – salamdyr". This is a word that every Turkmen uses, but not everyone is aware of its correct spelling.
It is written as "salowmaleýkim, salowmäleýkim, salamaleykum, salamwaleykim, salawmälik", and sometimes even "salowwa".
We remember once and for all, and write correctly – "Salawmaleýkim".
Synonyms of this word are "essalawmaleýkim" or simply "salam".
In response to the traditional Turkmen greeting word, people answer: waleýkimessalam, waleýkim or aleýkim.
