Turkmenistan has launched a Trade information portal to facilitate exports and imports


New Turkmenistan Trade Information Portal was launched today as part of the exhibition of the country's shopping complex that opened in Ashgabat. The website is designed to help small and medium-sized businesses quickly and in a convenient form to find information necessary for the export, transit and import of products.
"We expect that the portal will significantly help trade participants, in particular small and medium-sized enterprises, in conducting various trade operations, and also make cross-border trade safer," Deputy Minister of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations of Turkmenistan Kerimberdy Kurbanov said at a press conference dedicated to the launch of the Portal.

The online platform contains 250 samples of forms and documents required for certification, licensing of activities and trading operations. The portal covers 25 strategic groups of goods and 418 codes for customs operations. Special emphasis is placed on agricultural products.
The platform was developed by the EU Ready4Trade Central Asia project with the technical support of the International Trade Center in order to promote and promote Turkmenistan's membership in the World Trade Organization (WTO).
The information presented on the portal will be useful for:
– exporters, importers, customs brokers, freight forwarders and carriers,
– potential Turkmen and foreign investorsz
– governments and international organizations,
– scientists and researchers.
