Tengrinews: Fingerprints may appear in the identity cards of Kazakhstanis
Fingerprints are planned to be added to the identity cards of citizens of Kazakhstan, Tengrinews reports, referring to the draft of the relevant order published on the website of the "Open NLAs" of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the country.
The innovation follows from the new rules for registration, issuance, replacement, delivery, withdrawal and destruction of a passport and identity card of a citizen of Kazakhstan, a residence permit of a foreigner in the country, as well as a certificate of a stateless person.
According to the draft, identity documents will also contain the following information: surname, first name and patronymic; date and place of birth; gender; nationality; citizenship; photo; issuing authority; date of issue, document number and validity period; signature of the document owner; individual identification number.
