March became the warmest month ever in Ashgabat and other regions


Ashgabat has broken the record for the warmest March in the history of weather observations since 1891, the Meteojournal reports.
The average temperature was +17.4°C, which is 0.1°C higher than the previous record set in 2008.
Temperatures were above normal on all days of the month. The minimum excess of the norm is 2 °, and on some days immediately by 10-12 °. The maximum temperature for the month is +32.6°.
March in Ashgabat turned out to be not only abnormally warm, but also dry. Only 12.7 mm fell out at a rate of 42 mm.
The record for the warmest March in Baýramaly was immediately updated by 1.5°. The previous maximum mark on the thermometer was 16.9 ° in 2008. This year it is 18.4°.
In Bayramali, precipitation was even less, only 14% of the norm.
In Turkmenabat, the record was also broken by 1.5°. The temperature this March was +17.6°, against the previous maximum value of 2008 - +16.1°. Precipitation here fell only 4% of the norm.
The record was updated by 1.2° in Serakhs. This year the temperature was +18.9°C, while the previously warmest March in 2008 was +17.7°C. In early March, the temperature in the city reached +35°C. Precipitation - 25% of the norm.
This March has become the warmest in Serhetabat. Record updated by 0.6°. Previously, the warmest March was also here in 2008. Precipitation fell significantly less than the norm - only 18%.
