The premiere of the musical "Cat's House" will be shown at the Artist Theater on the first Sunday of April
Cheerful, charming and familiar to everyone since childhood, the fairy tale "Cat's House" will "return" to the repertoire of the children's theater studio at the metropolitan theater "Artist". The students of the circle will present on April 2 the premiere of the musical based on the famous play by Samuel Marshak. The new version of the performance will become a kind of "immersion" into the wonderful world of musical theater and will not leave indifferent either young viewers or the adult audience.
The story of the Cat's housewarming was already staged by the guys on the stage of the theater "Artist" a few years ago. At the heart of the current production is the modern story of children who came to the casting of a musical project with a great desire to sing and dance. How they will end up in the Cat's house, whether her house will burn down or not, what does music have to do with it and how events will develop will be told by the artists of the children's studio.
Children of different ages and with different acting training play in the miniature opera – there are those who have already performed in other performances and there are debutants who will take the stage for the first time.
— But they all feel like artists, because they are "infected" with the virus of the theater literally from the first classes in our studio. They have a great desire to go on stage and perform. Some of them sing and dance well, some do not, but the overall picture does not deteriorate, on the contrary, they get so used to the role and give their best that they charge the hall with their charisma and energy," Igor Annaklychev, the head and director of the Artist Theater, told Orient.
Today, almost 70 children study acting in the children's theater circle at the "Artist" – their age varies from 5 to 16 years. There is also an inclusive group, whose pupils perform together with everyone on stage. They stayed in the studio after their successful debut in the play "The Little Prince" and are now professionally mastering the theatrical craft.
Children's productions of the Artist Theater - "Tom Sawyer", "The Snow Queen", "Thumbelina" have already become real classics. Young artists successfully "roll" their performances on the stage and replenish the repertoire with modern performances.
The premiere of the play "Cat's House" will take place on April 2 at the ArtIst Theater at 12:00.
