Central Asia will develop an international document on glacier monitoring. This was stated by the First Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Roman Sklyar, reports today, March 27, IA "Kazinform".

According to the official, we are talking about joint regional projects, taking into account international environmental agreements.

In his response to the deputy's request, Sklyar noted that within the framework of the Green Central Asia initiative, it is planned to develop a common document on monitoring and modeling glaciers in the region.

“It is also planned to implement the project “Climate Risk Management in Central Asia”, which will contribute to the achievement of the sustainable development goals fixed at the national level regarding adaptation to climate change and peace and security,” the Deputy Prime Minister added.
