Days of Turkmen Culture have opened in the Republic of Korea


The Days of Culture of Turkmenistan opened in Seoul with the participation of the Turkmen delegation, which included representatives of the Ministry of Culture, masters of arts, famous ensembles, scientists, teachers and students of creative universities.
The opening was held in the building of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Korea with the assistance of representatives of government agencies, academia, creative intelligentsia, the public, a number of embassies accredited in the country, the Friendship Association between the Republic of Korea and Central Asian countries, as well as Turkmen students studying at Korean universities.
The creative action opened with an exhibition of decorative, applied and fine arts, which included exhibits introducing the historical and cultural heritage and modern achievements of Turkmenistan.
Next, the opening of the international conference dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of the great Turkmen poet Magtymguly Pyragy took place. During the forum, there were reports by diplomats, scientists, cultural figures of the two countries, which emphasized the importance of the poetic and philosophical heritage of the great Master of the word in the development of international cooperation.
During the forum, the poems of Magtymguly Pyragy, translated into Korean, were recited, and a video was also presented telling about the life and creative path of the great poet-thinker.
A festive concert of the masters of the arts of the two countries followed. The program of the Days of Culture of Turkmenistan will continue with the events of the creative forum, which will be held at the Seoul Hankuk University of Foreign Languages, as well as at the Shinhan University of Yijongbu, located 30 kilometers from the Korean capital.
The universities will host an exhibition, a concert, a screening of the Istärin feature film about the life and work of Magtymguly, as well as the At-Myrat film dedicated to Akhal-Teke horses.
