Turkmenistan is in the TOP 10 countries whose citizen’s travel to Uzbekistan
Uzbekistan is turning into a tourist Mecca of the Central Asian region, as the figures clearly show – how many travelers visited the country in January-February 2023. According to preliminary data of the Statistics Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, 871 thousand foreign citizens visited the country for two months for tourist purposes. This is 2.7 times more than last year, writes UzDaily.uz.
Turkmenistan was among the TOP 10 countries whose citizens visited Uzbekistan the most as tourists. In January-February, 4.8 thousand Turkmen citizens visited the neighboring state.
The top three in the ranking are headed by the countries of Central Asia - Tajikistan – 289.2 thousand people, Kazakhstan – 241.4 thousand people and Kyrgyzstan – 211.2 thousand people. Next in the list are tourists from Russia, Turkey, Korea, India, China and other countries. Travelers from America and Europe are closing in.
