Launch of the international project "Precious Necklace of the Commonwealth" discussed in Minsk
Historical monuments and cultural and tourist sites of the CIS countries will be included in the project "Precious Necklace of the Commonwealth". Experts of the working group on the preparation of the international program, which includes representatives of the Commonwealth countries and the CIS Executive Committee, discussed the possibilities of implementing this initiative in Minsk on Thursday, BelTA reports.
The participants of the meeting discussed the criteria by which the sights of the CIS countries can be included in the "Precious Necklace of the Commonwealth" project, and reviewed the list of cultural and valuable structures of national and interstate significance. The availability of the necessary tourist infrastructure was also taken into account.
The developers of the program proposed to develop a badge of distinction - "Pearl of the Precious Necklace of the Commonwealth", which is supposed to mark the objects included in the future project. In addition, the experts reviewed the list of possible thematic cultural routes of the CIS.
The international project "Precious Necklace of the Commonwealth" is designed to popularize and promote complex tourist routes, the cultural basis of which can be iconic places and objects, as well as national traditions of the peoples of the Commonwealth countries. In the future, these areas may be included in the interstate program "Cultural Capitals of the Commonwealth" for presentation at tourist exhibitions, scientific and practical conferences and seminars with the participation of representatives of business circles and government agencies.
