Saudi Arabia has imposed a ban on performing repeated umrah during the holy month of Ramadan. This follows from the new instructions issued by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah of the country for those wishing to make a small pilgrimage in the holy month of Ramadan.

This step is intended to provide equal opportunities for other pilgrims, to provide them with comfort during the performance of their sacred duty.

The Ministry also recalled the importance of obtaining permission for umrah through the "Nusuk" application. The date of arrival indicated for the first time cannot be changed, but pilgrims can cancel the application through the above-mentioned platform.

It should be noted that umrah (small pilgrimage) can be performed at any time of the year, unlike Hajj, which is performed on certain days. Before the COVID-19 pandemic, umrah attracted about 19 million pilgrims to Saudi Arabia.
