Date of the Asian Futsal Championship in Ashgabat clarified
On December 6, the groups for the Asian Futsal Championship, which will be held from February 26 to March 8, 2020 in Ashgabat, will be determined.
The large-scale sport event will bring together 16 teams – the national teams of Turkmenistan, Iran (reigning champion), Japan, Uzbekistan, Lebanon, Thailand, Vietnam, Bahrain, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, China, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Indonesia and Oman.
Ashgabat became the tournament host country out of 5 candidate cities. Jakarta (Indonesia), Nagoya (Japan), the capital of Kuwait and Jordan competed to hold the Asian Futsal Championship.
The main games will be played at the Olympic village. In addition, for athletes, other sites for training will be provided.
The qualifications for the Asian Futsal Championship closed on October 27, 2019. The host team also took part, while the Turkmen players automatically qualified. White-green demonstrated the will to win and improved game skills.

Asian Championship will be qualifying tournament for the 2020 World Cup, which will be held in Lithuania. The five best teams of the upcoming futsal tournament will compete at the 2020 World Futsal Championship.
