Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Sergey Lebedev discussed issues of cooperation
Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a meeting with Secretary General of the Commonwealth of Independent States Sergey Lebedev, during which issues of multilateral partnership were discussed, TDH reports.
During the conversation, the CIS Secretary General noted the high level of preparation of Turkmenistan for the upcoming parliamentary elections, adding that the voting takes place in an open and constructive atmosphere.
In turn, Chairman of Halk Maslahaty called cooperation with the CIS one of the priorities of the country's foreign policy. Turkmenistan contributes to the strengthening of the Commonwealth's position in the international arena.
Another topic of discussion was the issue of further strengthening cooperation. In this context, confidence was expressed that the renewed Turkmen parliament will continue to actively interact with the organization.
Also, the parties did not ignore the implementation of partnership in the field of energy, transport, culture and advanced technologies.
