A publication on the integration of a gender-oriented approach in the field of healthcare has been published
The Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan jointly with the UN Development Program prepared the publication "Integration of a gender-oriented approach into health projects," UNDP Instagram page reports.
The booklet, available in three languages, outlines the principles of including a gender-oriented approach in health care projects, describes the measures taken by Turkmenistan to ensure gender equality.
To implement a gender-oriented approach in all spheres, Turkmenistan has adopted a National Action Plan on Gender Equality for 2021-2025. Moreover, national development plans, health strategies and intersectoral action plans are developed taking into account the goals of achieving gender equality and equity in health.
The publication also highlights the role of UNDP in promoting gender equality in the field of health. UNDP in Turkmenistan supports the Government of the country in the implementation of the National Action Plan for Gender Equality for 2021-2025 in accordance with the UNDP Strategy for Gender Equality for 2022-2025.
