Turkmen students in Astrakhan celebrated the International Day of Novruz
A celebration dedicated to the celebration of the International Day of Novruz took place at the Astrakhan State University (ASU) named after V.N. Tatishchev. This is reported on the website of the Consulate of Turkmenistan in the city of Astrakhan of the Russian Federation.
The event was held with the participation of the scientific and teaching staff of the university, representatives of state institutions of Astrakhan and various diasporas of the region.
Students from different countries have prepared stands that introduce the culture, national traditions and customs of their countries.
Thus, students from Turkmenistan, with the assistance of the consulate, presented handmade carpets, national costumes, embroidery by Turkmen craftsmen, silver jewelry.
Guests could read materials about the country, get acquainted with the scientific works of Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, taste dishes of Turkmen cuisine.
Turkmen students also performed the "Kushtdepdi" dance to national tunes.
