Bucharest celebrated Novruz with the exhibition “New Day, New Life”


A colorful exhibition telling about the cultural heritage and economic achievements of Turkmenistan, Iran and India opened on Friday in Bucharest. The annual exhibition-fair "New Day, New Life", dedicated to the celebration of Novruz – the day of the vernal equinox, is organized by the embassies of these countries in Romania with the assistance of the ARCUB Cultural Center, the press release of the Turkmen diplomatic mission in Bucharest says.
Each country has organized a national stand. The Turkmen playground was decorated with magnificent carpets and carpet products, colorful photographs and paintings. The guests were able to see the incredible beauty of ethnic costumes decorated with handmade embroidery, silver jewelry of famous zergyars-jewelers, musical instruments on which Bakhshi performed folk melodies and songs.

The visitors of the Romanian vernissage were also able to get acquainted with the scientific works of Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, and other publishing materials telling about Turkmenistan. The guests of the holiday could get information that is more complete by watching videos dedicated to the rich cultural and historical heritage of the country and the economic achievements of the state.

The exhibition featured a demonstration of a video series about how Novruz is celebrated in Turkmenistan with folklore performances, national kushtdepdi dances and other musical and cultural celebrations.

Representatives of the Romanian authorities, heads of the diplomatic corps, public figures, the media, as well as residents of the Romanian capital and Turkmen students studying at universities in Bucharest visited the exposition.
