Kyrgyzstan has accumulated a record stock of gold - President Japarov

Kyrgyzstan has amassed a record stock of gold, President Sadyr Japarov said on Tuesday in a speech on the occasion of the Novruz holiday.
“The joint coordination of the branches of power made it possible to collect such a volume of gold reserves, which has not been observed in the entire history of independent Kyrgyzstan. We keep them in case of unforeseen circumstances as strategic reserves,” the head of state said, speaking at the central square of Bishkek Ala-Too.
Earlier, Arslanbek Maliev, chairman of the parliamentary commission for studying ways to sell gold from the largest Kumtor deposit, said that the republic had accumulated more than 45 tons of gold, 44 of which were in the warehouses of the country's national bank.
Also, according to the president, the leadership of the republic managed to achieve a number of economic successes, despite the difficult situation in the world.
