Turkmenistan's junior ice hockey team defeated Iran at the Asian and Oceania Championships
The junior national hockey team of Turkmenistan defeated the Iranian team with a crushing score of 14:1 in the final round of the Asian and Oceania Championship 2023 (U18), which takes place in Ulaanbaatar (Mongolia).
Nazar Orazov, who scored a hat-trick, Alan Muhyev, Rovshen Ashirov, Matvey Arkhipov, who scored twice, Yusup Atdaev, Erkin Byashimov, Allaberdi Guvanchev, Serdar Durdyev and Alikhan Aliskerov scored goals for the Turkmenistan national team. Ilya Khamzeh scored a prestige goal for the Iranians.
According to the results of the tournament, the wards of Guvanchmurad Jepbarov were in second place, having scored 12 points. The Uzbekistan national team has a similar number of points with the game in reserve. Artur Fakhrutdinov's team is ahead of the Turkmen hockey squad in additional indicators. The three leaders are closed by the host of the tournament — Mongolia.
Earlier, the Turkmen hockey players defeated the UAE team with a score of 7 : 2, defeated Thailand — 4 : 3, beat Mongolia — 6 : 4 and were defeated by the Uzbek team — 5 : 0.
