The Sino-Pakistani Research Center of the Islamabad Institute for Strategic Studies (CPSC/ISSI) has proposed to create a network of analytical centers in the countries of Central Asia and Azerbaijan.

This was stated by the Director General of the Institute Mahmoud Sohail following the results of the round table, which was attended by the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Pakistan Atajan Movlamov as head of the delegation of the Central Asian countries and his colleagues from Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan and Tajikistan, The Nation reports.

Mahmoud Sohail stressed the deep relations between all the republics of the region, adding that Pakistan provides one of the shortest and most profitable routes to the World Ocean.

He stated that CPSC/ISSI could serve as a platform for creating centers. Such a measure can significantly strengthen common goals in various areas of cooperation. The heads of diplomatic missions welcomed the initiative of the Director General of the Institute.

In addition, the parties agreed to hold events to develop policy recommendations on multi-vector cooperation between the countries. In this context, the participants of the discussions noted the special role of Islamabad's policy towards the states of the neighboring region — the "Vision of Central Asia".
