Builders from Uzbekistan will build Orthodox churches in Moscow
The program for the construction of Orthodox churches in Moscow is considering long-term cooperation with the Republic of Uzbekistan on hiring labor, the press service of the curator of the program for the construction of churches in the capital, State Duma Deputy Vladimir Resin, reported.
"On Saturday, I met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan Botirjon Asadov, and we agreed on cooperation. Where we do not have enough people for the construction of temples, we will attract personnel from the republic. They know how to work there, good masons and monoliths," his press service quotes the deputy as saying.
At the same time, Resin noted that the shortage of workers does not affect the timing of the program.
"The construction of the temple is slowed down only by the lack of funding, because all the work is carried out exclusively on a charitable basis. At the same time, the program is planned and there are no obstacles to achieving the goals set. Moscow has allocated plots of land and provides them with all the necessary infrastructure for at least five years ahead," said Resin.
He added that under this program, the church of the holy righteous warrior Fyodor Ushakov is being built, which will become a compound of the Central Asian Metropolis in Moscow.
"The Central Asian metropolis is governed by Vikenty, Metropolitan of Tashkent and Uzbekistan (Morar Viktor Alexandrovich), with him we are overseeing the construction of a new church," concluded Resin.
