All CIS countries have confirmed that they will field strong teams for the II Commonwealth Games, which will be held in Belarus in August this year. This is reported by BelTA with reference to the Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Igor Petrishenko.

In his interview with media representatives following the results of the meeting of the CIS Economic Council that ended in Moscow, Petrishchenko also expressed hope that sports teams from not only CIS countries, but also 14 other countries will take part in the Games.

"Holding this event should become a bright positive example of cooperation between our countries," he stressed, once again calling on all partners in the Commonwealth to actively participate in the preparation for the Games.
