Magnificent shake: History in modern fashion at the show of the new Asman collection
Asman Fashion house presented its Dehistan collection, inviting the audience to a colorful show, furnished in the same oriental style as the outfits themselves.
Visitors were greeted at the entrance by guards, but their mission was not to block the way, but on the contrary, to promote the feeling of time travel – in the era of kingdoms and beautiful princesses.
The directors of the show followed a theatrical path, immersing the viewer in a two–hour stage performance of three acts with musical and entertainment fragments - performances of pop singers, contests and quizzes to dilute the visual pressure of impressions. And there were enough of them in excess.
The Asman fashion house "treated" the invited audience with an incredible cocktail of national traditions, orientalist styles and trends incomparable with fashion trends in any other region of the world.
The English word shake in the title means "shake", but in our case it has to do not with the art of the bartender, but with the searches of fashion designers. They loaded into their creative shaker clear, sculptural silhouettes, luxurious fabrics, ethnic prints and the finest knitting of floral patterns, elegant draperies, Byzantine tiaras and a lot of decorative elements with accessories, and thoroughly shook this rich mixture, giving out an artistic mix on the theme of the Great Silk Road with historical references, but in a modern interpretation.
Contrasting variegated colors, golden, bronze and silver tints of the palette, silk fringe, sparkling with beads, glass beads and sequins, laser lace hand embroidery, which has become mainstream in the national high fashion, rule the ball in this collection, impressive for its monumentality and sophistication, romance and solemnity at the same time.
