A meeting of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the OTS was held in Ankara
Ankara hosted a meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS). The meeting was chaired by head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov.
The participants discussed preparations for the emergency meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the OTS, considered and agreed on the draft agenda and documents submitted for consideration at the Summit, exchanged views on the prospects for cooperation in the field of disaster elimination and humanitarian assistance within the Organization.
The summit was convened to support the Turkish people affected by the devastating earthquake that occurred in southeastern Turkey in February 2023. In this regard, special attention was paid to the issues of operational interaction between the competent authorities of the OTS member states in emergency situations and rapid response to new natural disasters.
