Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Shavkat Mirziyoyev met in Ankara
Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a bilateral meeting on the sidelines of the emergency summit of the Organization of Turkic States in Ankara on Thursday.
The interlocutors paid attention to the implementation of the agreements reached during the high-level visits last year, noted the active contacts and exchanges at different levels, the productive results of the recent meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission, the growth in trade turnover and the deepening of cooperation in priority sectors.
Among the topics discussed were the start of practical work on the creation of the Shavat-Dashoguz border trade zone, cooperation projects in the field of energy, engineering, transport and logistics, agriculture and other areas, the press service of the Uzbek president reported.
Topical issues of regional cooperation were discussed, and a schedule of upcoming events was considered.
