A delegation of French industrialists holds negotiations in Ashgabat


A Turkmen-French business forum is being held in Ashgabat, for which a mission of the MEDEF International Business Association has arrived in the Turkmen capital to participate.
MEDEF (Mouvement des entreprises de France) is the most significant representative of French business. The movement unites 800,000 French enterprises of all industries. Its international wing, MEDEF International, aims to encourage the activities of French companies abroad.
The plenary meeting was held at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan. It was opened with welcoming speeches by the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Dovletgeldy Rejepov and Vice President of Bouygues Construction Christophe Petit.
Among the guests from France are representatives of such companies as aircraft manufacturer Airbus, aerospace manufacturer Thales, Alstom (mechanical engineering), Bouygues Batiment International (construction), Dassault Aviation (aircraft construction), Sanofi (pharmaceuticals), Geismar (railway equipment), Poma SAS (rope transport systems), Technip (industrial engineering), In Groupe (digital technologies and services) and many others.
From Turkmenistan, high-ranking officials of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange, ministries and departments, representatives of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs participate in the forum.
Bilateral meetings are taking place within the framework of the forum, which will continue tomorrow. And today, the French delegation held talks with the heads of agencies of the transport and communication complex, the migration service and the healthcare system of Turkmenistan.
