The Turkmen delegation took part in the international scientific and practical conference "Tajikistan - Central Asia: the policy of good neighborliness, mutual support, eternal friendship and joint development". This is reported by the National News Agency of Tajikistan "Khovar".

The event was held within the framework of Tajikistan's chairmanship in the 5th Consultative Meeting of the Heads of Central Asian States. Representatives of analytical centers of the countries of the region discussed the role of Central Asia in ensuring international security and stability, got acquainted with global initiatives in this area.

The delegates also considered the prospects for the development of trade and economic cooperation of the Central Asian countries as an important factor in ensuring stability and sustainable development in the context of cardinal changes in the system of international relations.

Speaking at the conference, Director of the International Institute of Central Asia Vladimir Norov noted that the countries have managed to form a truly new political paradigm of cooperation.

"Stable Central Asia is already becoming one of the important centers of investment activity and economic growth," Norov said.

The fifth consultative meeting of the heads of Central Asian states and the next meeting of the constituent Council of the heads of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea will be held on September 14-15 this year in Dushanbe.
