Construction of three large medical centers has begun in Ashgabat


The groundbreaking ceremonies of three major medical institutions at once — the International Scientific and Clinical Center of Oncology, the International Center of Pediatrics and the Center of Dentistry - took place today in Ashgabat, the Turkmen official press reports.
Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov took part in the solemn events.
The Turkish company Gap Inşaat Yatırım ve Dış Ticaret A.Ş will be engaged in the construction of new modern facilities. All three facilities are planned to be put into operation in 2026.
As previously reported, the 160-seat International Pediatrics Center will be located in the southern part of Ashgabat and will be part of the Directorate of International Medical Centers of the Ministry of Health of Turkmenistan.
The 500-seat International Scientific and Clinical Oncology Center will be located in the north of the Turkmen capital in the residential area of Choganli, not far from the Center for the Prevention and Treatment of Infectious Diseases.
The new dental center, in turn, will be located in vacant areas directly opposite the Emergency Ambulance Center.
